The Vavuniya-Kebithigollewa road will be re-opened today.
“All vehicles will be allowed to travel along the road, commencing today,” said military spokesperson Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara.The road was closed on the the year 2007, following a bomb attack carried out targeting a bus in the Yakawewa ara in Kebithigollewa.
Thereby only vehicles belonging to the security forces were permitted to journey along this road up to now.
